As you are all aware by now, we’ll be releasing our first game, Cockwork Industries, very soon. This marks a shift in direction for Digital Seductions as a whole. It this post, we’d like to expand on that.
First we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who stuck with us throughout the last couple of years and especially last year, when we didn’t provide any content whatsoever (I hope now you have better understanding what that time was used for). You guys really kept us going and made it possible for us to finish our first game. A HUGE shout out to all of the Digital Seductions Members! We simply can’t thank you enough and hope we can pay you back for your trust and support with high quality adult content.
Now for the main part… We decided to go full-in into games. Whether this was a good choice or not remains to be seen, but relying on images and comics simply didn’t allow us to grow. Making games seems like a more viable path for the future. This doesn’t mean, however, that we’ll no longer be producing image-based content at all.
Our current artwork sites – World of Peach, Sodom Sluts and Tales of Pleasure will still be receiving updates, but those will mostly be small “companion” image sets strictly related to our games, showcasing characters that appear therein. This will serve as a bonus content that prevents content drought between new game releases and updates.
The “spirit” of our core sites will carry over to our games. Cockwork Industries is a Tales of Pleasure themed game (sci-fi/fantasy setting with fetish elements). Then we’ll have a Sodom Sluts themed game (heavy fetish and over-the-top characters) and World of Peach (vanilla) themed game after that. We plan to have up to 3 DLCs for each game after the initial release and bug hotfixes when necessary. It’s too early to say how frequent the updates will be as we’re still in the process of creating a reliable framework and evaluating time requirements for developing new games and DLCs. We certainly prefer putting quality over quantity and strive to release full-blown, interesting games.
Having said all that, we’ve already started working on the first Cockwork Industries DLC and have two more games in early development stages. We hope to eventually be able to hire additional people to work with us on our products which would allow us to release new games more often.
